A few years ago, owner Neyda embarked on a transformative journey when she decided to embrace a vegan lifestyle. As she delved deeper into plant-based living, she realized that the rich and diverse flavors of traditional Peruvian cuisine could be recreated without animal products. This realization sparked a passion to reinvent classic Peruvian dishes, making them entirely plant-based while preserving the authenticity and vibrant tastes of her homeland.

In her quest to share this culinary discovery, Neyda found that New York City lacked a vegan Peruvian restaurant—a gap she was determined to fill. She began by taking courses in plant-based cooking and teamed up with a chef specializing in vegan Peruvian gastronomy. Together, they mastered the techniques needed to create dishes that are not only true to Peruvian roots but also entirely plant-based.

What started in Neyda’s home kitchen, where she sold her creations through an app, quickly gained popularity. However, the growing demand made it clear that it was time to expand. After an extensive search, they finally found the perfect kitchen space to bring their vision to life.

Now, with Chef Neyda and her partner Royce leading the way, Andean Garden invites you to experience the remarkable flavors of Peru in their purest form—whole foods, plant-based cuisine. We believe in nourishing your body, protecting animals, and caring for the planet.
